You can be descouted if someone you've scouted breaks the rules:
By scouting a user, you confirm that they are 1. a genuinely talented artist that deserves the spot, and 2. a well-behaved rule-abiding citizen of Newgrounds.
Though what you're describing is an instance where you yourself may have broken the rules:
Alt, or variants of existing art pieces, should either have "Finished Piece" unchecked, or be included as a 2nd image oin the original Project. That way it doesn't flood the Art Portal.
